The Sunglasses Project

In the summer of 2016, I experimented with using sunglasses as a manual filter for my photographs, placing various pairs in front of my camera lens to see the effect this would have on the color and saturation of the images. The result are a series of vibrant images that evoke a kind of summery nostalgia.

    1. Thank you!! I was practically addicted to using my sunglasses while taking pictures at the time. It was so fun to see how it transformed the scene. I can’t really remember why or how I started doing it but I’m glad I stumbled across it! It’s fun to think of it as a “manual filter” as opposed to an Instagram filter haha. Maybe I’ll try it out again this summer.
